Fat tall bloke seeks LSIS
Discussion
I am looking for a Lotus Seven look-alike, but being 6ft 4in and larger than your average bear, I am finding it somewhat difficult...
Anyone have any ideas if there is such a thing as one of these stunning looking cars with a long and wide cockpit?
I have tried:
a Westfield SEW - too short.
a Tiger super 6 - too narrow.
a Robyn Hood Exmo - not bad if you take a jigsaw to the dash to allow knee room.
Everyone is pointing me towards a Cobra as they are supposed to have more room, but a Seven look alike is what I would prefer.

Give me a shout if you need it longer, wider or higher!
cheers

Tornado do a V8 powered seven style that you could easily misplace a standard Seven clone in the glovebox of. Heard a few horror stories about them but they're definitely not small.
I favour cutting down on pies too, though. I'm faster these days having dropped from 106kg to 88kg in the last year.
Your own weight makes a lot more difference to performance in a kit car than it does in a normal car...

I am 6'4" and a tad over 17 stone and have a Dax Rush V8 LWB. It has an extra 3" length in the cockpit as well as a dropped floor. It has Richfield seats in, so if you used a basic grp bucket you would have even more room.
I thought Leugo had gone bust? Or was that just a rumor?

Luego went bust last year, but are up and running again.
Not sure of the details but it sounds a little like it could have been a voluntary liquidation and buyback, usually these are directors' coups or debt writeoffs but there could be a less sinister reason.
Anecdotal, no accusations levelled in the above, just aware that these things do happen at times.
Far as I'm aware they're trading as normal again, though. Which is just as well cos I need some bits from them...
I am 5'10" and a bit and weigh over 16 stone and fit in my Striker, albeit snugly - no need for bucket seats, my son, 6'4" also fits, his problem being the size 13 shoes he has to wear and the fairly tight foot well, but that is fairly common to most sevens.
The Striker is up for sale soon BTW
