Wish I fitted Air/con now!!
Discussion
Took the Can-Am to the Detling Kit Car Show yesterday, car performed OK (now done 325 miles) but for two points, one being the title, it was bloody hot in there and fuel pump loosing pressure or getting fuel vaporisation occasionally.
For the heat in the cockpit, I thought that by installing a 3in hose from the brake duct through the heater I would be getting some cool air, but I seem to be getting hot feet!!!
For the fuel I have been in touch with Holley Tech and they say that the pump I have (like CanAmDave's chrome thingy's) must be gravity fed as it won't suck very well...........looks like I'll have to get a new fuel filter that I can mount low down and then maybe the pump will work.
Also does anyone know what the inside of the silencers look like, I've got an annoying rattle at around 1900-2000 rpm. I've hit most things in there to see if I can replicate the rattle but nothing seems loose so I can only think that it could be coming from the silencers?
Having only been use to my Fiesta Diesel (lately) this thing goes like F but has very good low speed manners, a well spec'd engine.
thanks Andy
The oil temps and water temps were around 86c, maybe a bit low on the oil temp, I have one of those Laminova water cooled oil coolers.

hi Graham , good to hear that you are having fun , hot feet could be down to heat soak through the front bulkhead ....and are you sure you have the heater switched off !!!!!! as if not fully closed the valve can let some water through !!! have you got the top of the clip open as this will let some heat out !!!!! simon

I have the valve from a KA fitted in the heater pipes in the egine bay, I'll check the valve (again!)
Yes I have keep the front intake opening clear, but I think I'll install a couple of small fans in there like Dave has.
I bought some alloy sheet to block in the battery tray compartment, maybe that'll help the heat soak.

Seriously though, looking forward to seeing it on the Mosler raid in a couple of weeks!
Pb3 knows exactly what the inside of the silencers looks like
