I'm now free for the LeMans weekend, is it too late to get tickets, ferries and camping independantly? Will I have to go via the likes of Team Langoustine?

I went in 2005, but someone else arranged it all and I just paid as and when asked to.

Iain

Look around on the ACO and Team Longers. You'll be able to get a general entry ticket and maybe the choice of BJ or Tecno campsite wise.

Leaving it late though!

The may find the crossings have gone.

Get hunting.

Iain, have you tried the TVRCC? Maybe worth giving the office a ring.

No problem.

There are still some BSJ tickets on Club Arnage at the moment at face value (or book BSJ via the ACO if you want to)

You'll get a crossing still - maybe not the cheapest but you'll get across.

Buy GA tickets on the gate when you get there.

Job done

Excellent, thanks folks I'll start looking into things. I don't mind Beausejour (thats the one behind the Porsche curves isn't it) I was there last time, and while its a bit of a trek to the front gates it's doable, even at 3am ****ed out of your, well my, skull.

Team Langoustine sorted me out with the full package at late notice, they were extremely helpful to me as a Le Mans virgin - its worth giving them a try : www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=340800&f=25&h=0

Depends on what type of trip your after? Euro tunnel is always available!
General Entrance Tickets can be bought on the day you arrive! Camping dose not have to be pre-booked in Beausejour! .....But there's pleanty of people advertising Le Mans packages. Its up to you what you want out of the weekend!

All you need is a ferry and the Norfolk Line have loads of space left on numerous crossings. All that will be available to you now for small money is Beausejour camping but you can buy tickets for that on the gate.

It is never too late. Just turn up. Sleep in the car or trackside if all else fails. You will still have the best time ever.

A fried in 2005 decided on the Thursday to go, flew to Paris, got the train down, got a GA ticket, slept trackside, then hitched home

Agreed.
I've been every year since '96, and not once bought a camping ticket in advance (arriving on the Thursday afternoon).
There's various sites that will have tickets for sale on the gate. Perhaps not everyone's first choice of site, but no problems with finding somewhere to stay.

DON'T BE PUT OFF GOING BECAUSE YOU THINK YOU'VE LEFT IT TOO LATE.

I understand that you can pick up tickets in the last week for pennies as people offload at the last minute.

I don't know as we're always out there by then!!

We only sorted our trip out a couple of weeks ago, we always leave it until the nearer the time.
We are camping at BSJ (miles from the track but was ok last time we were there) and a cheap as chips sailing to Dunkerque.

Slightly off topic sorry.

Where abouts in the Yellow area of the campsite are the WRR guys going to be camping? Far north point, far south point?

Cheers
