Last new topic from me today I promise!

We have some ideas and designs for the aero upgrades now, the front splitter package to balance out a rear Gurney.

Again, we have a mix of emails and expressions of interest on here, can any interested parties mail me with T350 Aero upgrades in the Subject header please. What I dont yet have an idea of is the price for the package, as I said, we have only just finished looking at the design ideas. Anybody who mails can you also give an indication of the price you would be willing to pay. I *presume* this will give us a range frankly across all the interested parties and therefore make a relatively sweet spot obvious. I ask this because if the majority of expectations are way lower than what we would be thinking of, not just to even make any money but cover our costs, then I would not really be willing to move forward on the project and spend anymore time and money. It simply wouldnt be worth it. This wont be a £200ish package if that is what anybody is thinking of, you will be looking into 4 figures.

Any chance of some pictures, designs or otherwise ?

I like the idea of the Sagaris-style gurney (I'll gladly swap 10mph on-paper top speed for better handling at actual speeds) but I love the look of the front and would be reticent to change it. My reticence would likely increase with cost, obviously, but without pictures I've no baseline...

To interested parties yes, but I am not randomly putting them on line.

DJC out of interest, why do you seem so against displaying your works/prices on a simple website??

From what I've seen and read on here, they are certainly things to be proud of and I cant help but feel you are losing business by not making the products/price clear without people emailing you. Seems an odd way to go about things?

And do you not have to pay to advertise on the site ?

I assume you do

I dont *need* this business. Im more than happy to lose out to the other established business which depend on it for their livlihoods.
Everything we do is Bespoke to individual customers, prices will and do change to suit the individual car (no 2 cars that come to us are the same, no 2 jobs take the same time). Every customer and potential customer so far that has phoned us has actually wanted individual things to their car and wanted to spend 10,20,30mins on the phone and I am more than happy to do that. I like that personal way.
Everything we do and have done has been in response to requests from individuals on here for certain items, products and work.
I think about 70% of the email exchanges and phone conversations I have with clients and potential clients invariably involves the words "this isnt to go on pistonheads please", it would seem that those who want to deal with me like that method.

There is another aspect though and that is the vast majority of the time Im simply not interested in the "debate" that comes with stuff on line, esp from 85% of ppl who have no or little interest in the product being offered. Ive got to the stage now where I simply dont need that grief.

4 figures? Too much for my liking. Obviously we need to pay for people's knowledge here, but I'd want to see clear evidence of testing and something aking to TUV approval for a 4 figure sum.

Hope you're not building everything out of carbon fiber. GRP will do

Obviously I have no idea of the amount of changes for the money...

DJC - I think you should set up a simple website with a few pages - people can then go there to register an interest and see sketches/gallery shots of slats or whatever. Bit less advertising on here then ;-)

Great Idea, then perhaps you'll stop "advertising" on the forums.

A LOT of your posts recently DJC have been pretty much about drumming up interest in your products and yet reluctant to give any info other than off Forum, your either in or not.

As to whether you are or not advertising - i've been prepared to give you the benefit of the doubt, but a number of reports have come in recently about the number of posts simply drumming up interest in your products.

So, i'll close all those down today, but leave them up as a reference point, any more that crop up will be deleted.
