Which Zymol wax???

Hello all!!! After scoffing at detailers and thinking them OCD freaks, I have done much surfing of the net and have become fascinated by the entire universe of detailing... So consider this my munching on gargantuan portions of humble pie... My question to you experts is now this... I am considering buying a Zymol complete kit which includes the following: The wax of your choice (226g) Detail Wax (56g) Clear Autobathe (250ml) HD-Cleanse (250ml) Treat (Leather) Conditioner ( 250ml) ** Vinyl Conditioner (250ml) ** Wheel Cleaner (650ml) Wheel Coat (237ml) Detail Brush (Horse Hair) x 1 Wheel Brush (Horse Hair) x 1 Wax Applicator x 2 Pre Wax Applicator x 2 100% Cotton Towel x 1 Microwipe x 1 ** Vinyl for dashboard & interior, vinyl/plastics and treat for leather interior
I have two, soon to be three cars to detail... One is black, one is light blue and the third will be white. This particluar kit offers me three choices of wax: Creame, Carbon and Japon. Which will work best on all three colours? One final question, the website also does a good deal on Lehm Klay and Lube, but seeing as I am a complete beginner in this whole claying business, is this the best clay to start off with? I have read in other places that perhaps Meguiars clay is better... Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Zymol is expensive. I even bought some Concourse wax just to see if there was a difference between that and the carbon/cream. I also have light and dark coloured cars and use cream/carbon accordingly. With that said I have experiemented with just using the carbon and the results were nion identical to my eyes and when either of the cream/carbon tubs is empty I will stick to just the one in the future. So, I don't think it matters, people may be along to correct me but to me shiny is shiny. As for the clay again it's not cheap but it will do what clay bars do as they all do.

Like you I was a sceptic until I went to a meeting last Sunday. One thing I would say, don't just focus on the wax. The best product that I saw was HD Cleanser which you apply after claying and before waxing.
As for the clay, look at the meguiars site. Look at the valeting or profesional tab and get their softer one.

Just kiddin'...honest The HD Cleanse and the Waxes themselves are undoubtedly good, though obviously at some point the laws of diminishing returns kick in.
I'll throw a suggesting into the mix, have a look at Victoria Wax products.
They get fantastic write-ups on detailing forums, and are supposedly just as good if not better than Zymol waxes costing much much more. I use their products and they are very good, though I haven't used Zymol so can't make any comparison.
As others have said, it's all in the prep, no offence intended but if your car is covered in swirls it probably won't come out looking much better however much you spend on products, the prep gives 90% of the results IMO.
Incidentally www.vertar.com/zymol have some good deals on Zymol, all above board but I believe they recently stopped being an official distributor hence have a ton of stock to shift.

It's a good suggestion, the Victoria Wax.
We used HD Cleanse on T40ORA's TVR last Sunday and topped with Zymol Concours, Swissvax Best of Show and Victoria Wax Concours.
In my eyes there was minimal difference, the VC Concours is tremendous value for money, use it with Zymol HD Cleanse and your onto a winner.

Vertar here! Sorry, but I must correct you, we have never have been the distributor for Zymol, though we are an Authorised Zymol Reseller. I believe the company you are refering to is Sportcarworld/ZDOUK/UltimateFinish, and they are not authorised resellers of the products.
