Yep, passed my license this morning, with 2 minor faults, gutted! I came up to a mini roundabout, all clear, so didn't slow down too much, and at the last minute a car pulled out of a car park on the right, so I had to stop suddenly... The examiner marked me on bad observation and speed of approach... Oh well, off to ride the bike properly for the first time now!

Just got back from my first 100 miles... On a Kawasaki zx6r for those who don't remember... It's pretty fast but at the same time it doesn't feel too fast... Overtaking traffic on a dual carriageway like I would normally do, I glanced at the speedo that read just above 1.2 leptons... So I backed off a bit hehe Other than that, it feels just great, and very easy to ride...

Superb mate, and nice timing now spring is firmly here.

Yer far braver than I was when I first passed though; first time riding the bike back I thought I was gonna get torn off the back at 50mph.

It was a bloody hard job hanging on though! I kinda got used to it now though (about 150 miles today), and I saw a ton a few times on my trip today...

Just after my test someone told me to hang on with my knees against the tank: since then 3 figure speeds on private roads are much more comfortable.

Alex, mate...

120mph while overtaking on a DC.nono There's a time and a place to stretch your legs, but that ain't one, IMO.

Where was your escape plan if the overtakee didn't see you coming and changed lanes? With such a high speed differential it's a real risk. Please TRY to remember that drivers are often dozy at the best of times: there is NO WAY they expect a bike to come up and on past them 40-70 mph faster than they are travelling. You are setting yourself up to get hurt if you continue to ride like that.

Sorry, don't want to chuck a bucket of water on your enthusiasm, but better you get to use that new licence, eh?

Congrats.
