Just wondering how long it's going to be before I get my peeling paint on the door handles fixed? Been weeks now since I reported to my dealer and he says the handles are still not available. I even contacted a reputable parts department and Monaro specialist in the South - East only for them to confirm the same that they are not available. He even said that parts were on order since Xmas!!! Surely something can be done to sort this well known problem as it looks very unsightly when trying to promote the Vauxhall brand at various UK wide events. Is it Stu Harris that deals with the "Monaro" brand? If so, can you help please?

In the very unlikely event that you did have to change the door handles...........are they not the same as the ones used on a vauxhall omega? I just bought one off evil-bay for a couple of quid.

From what I've been told, the only parts that are common between Holden Commodore (HSV & Monaro) and Vx Omega are the door handles, so you prob are ok.

Just taken my spare out to the car and I've got to say, to my untrained eye they look identical. Drivers door was vx part No90371839 but thats for the whole thing inc mechanism but excluding locks.

Didn't speak to your guys, the other dealer told me that it was the plastic that throws the paint - that's why they replace the handles.

Stu - give you a clue - they're in Edinburgh - starts with Bel and ends in mont and they're @&*$ing useless. Sooner Peters Car Company in Motherwell get their new place up and going and get the full VXR/Monaro accreditation sorted out the better. At least their guys are getting practice working on mine even if I am having to source all the parts for them.

My handles have started peeling as well, but the car is over two years old now so is it still covered under warrenty ? thought paint work was only covered for a year ?

Cheers

Belmont in Edinburgh as Bob (Well_fans) says. They are our only dealer in Scotland although Inverness dealer has been extremely helpful since I've had the car and just a pity they can't get authorisation to do the work.
