Hi guys, what do you think real world mpg is for a CTR? im thinking about getting an early one as they can be picked up pretty reasonably now. i would be using it to the daily commute 20 miles each way. About 10 miles of that is pretty fun B road, 5 miles is busy A road and 5 miles urban traffic crawl. I've heard that for a 2.0 its pretty thirsty but surely it depends if you vtec it everywhere which i wont...well not all the time . What are the service intervals (12k miles/annual?)

cheers

On average I get about 28-29mpg from my CTR, which involves everything from country road abuse to chugging along motorways, so probably quite a good average.

I've seen anything from 180 to 330 miles from a tank of fuel, it all depends how you drive it, constant VTEC gets through fuel a lot quicker than just dawdling along.

Services are every 12.5k or anually, whichever comes first.

I had a CTR for 18 months and used it for commuting and fun - got between 27-34 mpg ..... the wife got 30-36 unsurprisingly ! Given how it was driven and the performance available it was easily the most economical performance orientated car I have had.

Always got somewhere between 27-30mpg with mine over 50k of mixed driving with more like 35mpg on a proper run.
Of course, if you have lead wellies & no sensitivity you can get it down much lower yes
