Felt a scrape going over an oft travelled speed bump the other day. Looked under the chim. Now, when looking under, i'm sure everything there should be just about flush, right? Looks to me like the exhaust is hanging down by about 1.5 inches roughly midway between front/rear wheels. One of my mates currently has the car, and she took it into quick fit, who said it was normal....?

Any takers?

You trusted kwik-fit to give accurate advice, to a girl, about how a TVR exhuast should fit?

It is normal - the exhaust doesn't fit flush at that position in mine, nor does it in my mates Chim either.

This is a TVR. If everything is attached that's considered a win.

Saw mine up on a lift on Saturday and the exhaust was well scrapped at about that point therefore it must have been lower than the floorpan.

Hmm, probably fine then. I am aware that the shocks are needing done, so that's probably the cause.

Cheers!

You've obviously never heard of "Brokebackside Mountain" then?

Not insinuating all garages are cowboys and gay....

My Griff was attached to the clutch bellhousing about where you are talking about. Note the word WAS !
After I smacked the bolt head on a bleeding gate catch plate it wasn't though

Is this the same on the Chim?
We fabricated a bracket and attached it to a different part of the bellhousing as a temporary bodge which I think is now a permanent 'feature' since its as good as anything else TVR every did!
