Boot will not release

The bootlid on my Chim refuses to release when pressing the release button inside the car. A mod-wise release is also fitted but there is only a faint ticking noise (around the right hand side number plate light area) when either method is tried.
Can anybody help me as I will need fuel soon.

got it open but it still just ticks.
Do I access the solenoid via the catch as I feel this is the problem.

Hi again Rich, pleased to be of assistance.

Boot solenoid, not too sure.
Had a quick look in the Bible, nothing readily comes to assistance.

My suggestion would be to start another post "boot solenoid access" and see what comes to fruition.

Hope you get it sorted soon.
