I am thinking of adding the additional expansion tank to my car, I would like some pictures of the additional system where the hose pick up from, how the tank mounts on to the inner wing ect.

Any help always greatly appreciated

heres mine, dont have any pictures with the hoses but its fairly simple, small hose goes from top of main tank to underside of expansion bottle.

Nice pics - just noticed that the carpet mat fits under the metal flap of the pedalbox and not on top. No wonder I can't keep it from moving arround.

Had mine done at TVR Power no photos as yet though. Hope it sorts my problem out which I am expecting as all Sagaris' have the Mk2 expansion tank!

NickT,

I would be interested to know how much cooler your engine runs with the additional expansion tank. If you don’t mind me asking, how much did TVR power charge for the tank and how much was fitting.

Thanks

Sam

my car runs 2-3c cooler most of the time, it will help slightly but if the coolant system is fine then you wont notice a difference tbh

The second tank interests me; mine has just the one and has always been fine except on just one hot Summer trackday at Goodwood, where it reached 110C and let a little steam out. Never been above 100C before or since.

So turned A/C off and it was fine through the next session - I realised that of course the A/C rad heats up the air before it reached the water rad (I did thankfully remember a cooling system designer's advice that unless a lot of water has escaped, will be ok, and certainly don't undo the cap to check level until actually cold - if still quite hot the reduction in pressure causes air bubbles to form everywhere, especially in the hot cylinder head!)

All worth remembering in a similar situation, I guess

12,000 miles from new, including a 3000 mile poodle round Spain and a track day last year. It just gets polished lots in between.

No choice then but to take the cheap and dirty route and get the Carbon Airbox fitted....

Fatal mistake this "letting it get dirty"
