Fun with Google Maps

I was reading on grandprix.com this morning that Bernie wants to run a GP in the centre of Delhi... so I though I'd have a go at designing one - I just figured out that you can draw lines on google maps so, here's my attempt at a New Delhi GP. Oh and a London one too.

Post your street GP circuits here!

It's a bit long, but I reckon they should do that with street circuits... maybe run 30 laps of a six or seven mile course.

hehe that London one goes right past my work, over the pavement then through pedestrian gates. There's not actually a road there where it rejoins St James's Park even though it appears on maps. Queen st is barely wide enough for two cars too!

I've not been to Delhi but it looks like an interesting track. I think for logistical reasons they always need to place the track near some local parks so they can build catering tents, stands, pit garages and so forth.

any body know the route the old Birmingham super prix used to take through the city? i wasn't around when they did it and i've only seen it once on TV and now i live here i'd like to know the route!

Yeah I noticed that when I switched it to Satellite view... quite annoying!

The guy on this website wants to bring the Birmingham Super Prix back on a new route, But this page also showns the old circuit layout.
