Does anybody know where you can get these done in the UK. I love the old z-cars and obviously love the GTO, best of both worlds IMO.

Any ideas?

Have a word with Moggy over on www.zclub.net he's finished (or nearly finished) a gto conversion and is looking to sell I believe. Other than that there's lots of advice in general, just don't forget that even if it looks nice and shiny on top, the fibreglass is on top of a 70's Datsun and is therefore prone (understatement!!!) to rust.

Rob

That;s a gorgeous car.

Wonder if you can hire one?

Be nice to pull a set of moulds from an original

How big an engine would you be wanting to squeeze in there, though...

And someone somewhere would want to stick a Pinto in it punch

small block chev with 320bhp is what the black one has in it... Yeah I hear you about the rust problem on those things, pitty...

The one on ebay does look good, but it still has the z engine in it. How much to put a chev in there anybody know?

Check out http://forums.hybridz.org if you want to find out what other engines have been stuffed in to Zeds. Chevy V8's are common with a number of off the shelf mounting kits, LS engines becoming more popular. Plenty of other engines have been stuffed in though, helps that the Zeds have a large engine bay to play in!

Rob
