Hey All New To Site... A Little About Me & Car
Discussion
Hey all, well im Barry and im 27.
Always been into fast cars since being a lad and my dad owned a Cosworth at the time.
Currently am driving a 05 Nighthawk Black Civic Type-R, with all the extras
, I like to DJ in my spare time and have quite a vast collection of tunes from the early 90's up to 2003, Spanning from Early US House, though early Breakbeat Hardcore/Jungle to House & Garage. If you want any info on tunes give a shout.
Not the most original of intros but hey there you go.....
I dont know if images work but heres a few

Those my friend are +10bhp fluid reservoir covers.
Their real purpose is for track day, when under exteme conditions they serve 3 purposes.
One, they help keep the reservoir tank caps in place during racing and spirited driving, helping prevent spillage of vital fluids. Second, even if the caps are jarred open, the tank covers help contain the spill and minimize fluid loss. Third, the tank covers prevent dust and debris from accumulating on the tanks and potentially contaminating the brake fluid. Furthermore, they help prevent the brake fluid from absorbing moisture from the atmosphere, which otherwise reduces braking performance and causes corrosion of brake components

I think the bottle of 'go faster high performance orange' is my favorite bit of the car

Essential in every journey mate, another perfomance enhancing mod with gains of up to +5bhp
KB R1
Allow me to explain briefly, mainly cosmetic under the bonnet, but filter with 2 cld air feeds and heatsheild is good for a true 4-5bhp. I also have a Hondata K-Pro PRA ECU which is fully re-mappable by user or tuning house, everything from Nitrous Control, To VTEC engagment to Base Idle speed can be adjusted via a USB port. And lastly a Titanium Scorpion cat back exhaust.
The red wire you can see dropping off at various points is an earth kit, this potentialy stops power loss when you switch on A/C, headlights etc as you are giving the battery a more wide spread and natural earth.
With my mods (Filter,CatBack & K-Pro) ive opened up about 30% in the mid range, its currently good for about 220bhp at a guess, Header and Decat should see hikes up to and including 230bhp.
The genius thing about K-Pro is it actually improves fuel economy as you can bring the VTEC point down to as low as 4krpm, from the factory 5800rpm, also launch control helps keep them hopping wheels on the floor.

Nice CTR mate....
Hey Jonner thanks, and thanks to everyone else for making me feel welcome.
Carried out another mod this weekend, concentrating on suspension at the moment, so fitted a rear tie bar to reduce body roll on corners.
This weekend coming, having the car detailed to remove swirl marks then sealing with a decent Caranuba wax.
More updates to follow.
