This is the noise that I got from the back end when I gently reversed down the drive today with the engine off. It may do it all the time but with that V8 burble it cant be heard. Any ideas ? Diff problem perhaps ? Going to do an engine off roll down a gentle hill at the weekend going forwards to see if it does the same.

The clunk, clunk, clunk's not a problem but the hmmmm - now that's unusual.

ah now you see the clunking is the car the hmmmm is the noise I made when I heard it. clunk clunk clunk hmmmmmm I felt I needed to included that to provide the full picture. hmmmmm is one of my thoughtful (but not yet worried) noises, if I was really worried it would have been bugger or oh sh*t :-)

Its easier to tell where the noise is when your head is under the car.

On further investigation I only get the noise when going backwards. Going forwards its as quiet as a church mouse. Another one for the list to be looked at come next service.
