Reconditioned fireblade engine??
Discussion
why reconditioned?go low mileage used, that way you have not got the worry of a crap recon, against popular belief a bike engine will run just as long as a car engine with proper servicing(not dick heads revving the nuts of it and hitting the kill swith and changing oil when it suits them
)i remember reading about someone with a CBR600 that had done 160k and just need a valve reface and valve shim, amazing! not really bike engines are japanese engineering at its best.
Good luck with your search and their is not a bad Blade engine made to date so you should not have to much trouble finding a sweety.

At a guess I would say the 1994 or older indicates someone trying to build a 'New' car where everything is new apart from one major assembly that can be 'Re-manufactured' hence the need for the re-con engine.
If this is correct don't forget you will need all the receipts for the work done to the engine and new plugs and points plus a lick on the valves will not convince the DVLA.
