rear lights miswired

I wanted in line with my HID headlight conversion also to change my rear lights to LEDs- and was short of writing a thread about led´s not working in TVRs- funnily only one of the ordered LEDs worked- yep I knew all about this polarity thing of LEDs etc. Well if all hadn´t worked I would have blamed it on either the LEDs or the car but one worked so I asked dnb who is far more competent than me in theese geeky electronics...
After some trying measuring and trying the lamps in his car we found out that the working one had reverse polarity- so was actually a faulty LED and my car was wired up the wrong way (- 12.6 volts @ the rear lights...). Further investigation showed that all the rear light plugs were miswired i.e. live and neutral öeads placed vice versa- obviously no problem for bulbs but for LEDs
So in the end we got them working- thanks David I owe you

I am considering an HID upgrade to dipped beam on Sagaris - what kit did you use and was it an easy enough conversion? Where did you mount the balast boxes? Also - LED's for rear lights, are these available for the Sag??Tks N
There are lots of kits on ebay- I bought one wich was specified as original bosch but turned out to be coming from Hong Kong (they even faked the box and the install manual)- so far no problems (but would not dare to recommend because of uncertain consistency). Service was good, delivery prompt and price around 79 quids- which brings me exactly to this

They do an offer on there Standard kit which is well recommended (check the gassing forum but they are known also amongst dealers) for under 100 pounds- would have defenitely chosen then for this price and they are a reliable UK based company. I got my rear LEDs from them and service was good - they exchanged the faulty one immediately
I checked the kits quickly but they do not have Sagaris under the TVR menue but if it has H7 I think the same kit as for the 350 will fit
I have my ballasts behind the lights in the mudgards - enough space
