A bit of monochrome
Discussion
I've been playing about with Lightroom presets that I found the other day (I started a thread about them here, but no-one responded).
This image (from a scan of a slide I took in 1985) was created entirely in Lightroom (except for a bit of despeckle and adding the frame in PSP XI) using the presets. The black&white ones especially give some very good results, with several different mappings available. I must say that I'm finding Lightroom to be an excellent piece of sofware. Now, if only Adobe would hurry up with the RSP to Lightroom conversion utility...

how do you save images to your desktop for example on lightroom?
You can export any picture (with or without any adjustments you've made) as jpeg, tif, psd etc. Alternatively, you can fire up your editor from within lightroom, make some adjustments there and save it in whatever format it allows.
Thanks for the compliment, Emma. I only rediscovered the picture yesterday, whilst going through a load of old slides. It never really occurred to me that it might be saleable...
I also found some more old slides (from 1979, taken in Cyprus), that I've tried similar treatment on:
(edited for slightly smaller images)
