Joe do a google on Steve Greenald he is at Rainham and has both Rolling road and at least one dyno cell(he was building more). He had a Toleman F1 turbo car on the rollers when I met him about a year ago.

Alternatively do a google on Benchsound Stanford Le Hope and ask for Mario Dicapite they have rollers.

Another Google on John Mowatt Pound Lane Benfleet he has rollers too.

On a professional racing level we also have Rouchracing at Brentwood they had 4 cells last time I went there.
There's loads!!
They are all good Guys.

Hi

If you want a accurate reading take it to someone that has a Dyno Dynamics RR.. As these will shatter anyones ego!!!!!

SCC in St Albans and Torque of the Devil in Uxbridge both have these rollers. Not sure about anywhere else but i can recommend both of these places.

I was hoping of finding a DD RR local but have not had any luck.

I have used Thorney Motor Sport in milton keynes for my tuning. They also use a DD RR so know what you mean by the power figures. I have some friends local so dont really fancy dragging them all up to MK for a RR day lol

whats so special about dyno dynamics then? ...or is it just the usual hype "we have the most accurate dyno"

...unless they take the engine out and put it on a bench dyno I cant see it being any more "accurate" than anyone elses ?

theres only 2 places Ive been too where they have a bench dyno in addition to a Rolling Road, and their RR can produce results that are within a couple of percent of the bench dyno results (therefore fairly accurate representation of what the engine is putting out flywheel) - thats Track n Road (Steve Gs place) and Emerald at Thetford (Dave Ws place)

dont believe the sales hype - what you want are repeatable results ...its technically impossible to give a 100% accurate flywheel BHP figure measuring at either the hubs or the wheels... the drivetrain/gearbox is in the way

Ive used about 7 dynos in the last 5 years and all of them read different on the same car.

No Hype - just very accurate figures and excellent load control

the article below was an independent test printed in this months Performance Tuner magazine

thats a good article and confirms my own findings.

Surrey RR seem to have theirs calibrated about right compared to manufacturer figures ...as do the other 2 I mentioned

bottom line is you should just use the same one all the time, and get a "before" run as a benchmark, then go back to the same one each time you do some mods....at least you get to see what the improvements are
