I was thinking of getting rid of my 500 because i was finding it hard to stop the back from twitching but after reading a lot of peoples remaks on tyres i decided to fit new toyo T1R,s all round. Well boys (and the odd lady) i can tell you i would have never thourght that tyres would make such a big big difrence not only to the grip but the stearing is lighter, the ride is smoother and the braking is better. I am now at ease with the car. If you are looking for tyre,s i suggest you try www.camskilltyres.co.uk. They were very nice to me when i phoned and the price was good. These remarks are my oppinion.

Safe motoring to you all

JIM.

If you didn't get it done, I'd recommend a full laser geometry check - that's another significant difference you'll notice and while you've got a full set of new rubber is just the right time to do it (but make sure you get it done by a reliable company)

JIM,

Recently fitted T1Rs to the back, and would fully agree with your comments.

Thinking about them for the front as well, but can you get them in W rating (as opposed to just V)? Off to the 'Ring again late June and want to be equipped for Autobahn speeds.

Got T1Rs on our Chimaera. So far I'm actually not quite as happy as the old S02s that were the factory fit...but they're fine, I suppose.

Drove from Anglesey to Basingstoke last Sunday. Took the A5 mountain road. It had been dry for days and then had some drizzle but not rain. Slidy. Very, very slidy. Hardly the tyres fault, mind. Touch a white line and wheeee...not so good. One of the big Audi Quattros wasn't having the same trouble with the all-wheel drive system...went flying by whilst I tippy-toed around...

according to: www.carbibles.com/tyre_bible.html the Z-rating simply means 150+ MPH whereas W-rating means up to 168MPH. I've often seen the Z and W together....
