Yo Paul, its called an ASCARI British made with a BMW V12 engine they have just brought out a new model awsome car, Yo San Diego eh? I lived on Mission beach for two years just down from the roller coaster, and worked outa Dana Landing near to Sea World, boy those were the days I used to sit on the balcony of our apartment with a beer, overlooking the beach watching all the beach babes rollerblading along the board walk, never saw an ugly girl in two years, I think they must ship them all out, possibly to Texas or Utah, there was a Mexican, hole in the wall take away on the corner of the street just down from the bar, did wonderful beretos. ah memories, I am just an old fart now wobble but at least I can say, been there, got the T shirt, and a couple of videos somewhere, but they are well hidden (from the wife) Yo dude take it easy, surf's up thumbup

Actually Highflyer, it's got a 5.0 V8 - the one used in the previous generation M5. Kicks out about 400Bhp, 500 in the new one.

They made less than 100 of this model (the Ecosse).

H, What's going on there with the Canam roof ? Also noticed it looks like you bolted the sidescreen pillar support to the perspex. Do tell ...

Yo ultimad, the roof is permenantly fitted, folded over the rollover bar, and tucked down behind the seats, so that if it does look like a spot of rain, 5 mins, and Bobs your uncle, Fanny is your live in lover. As for the side screen bolted to the pillar, is there another way? how would you have done it? actually I bought it like that, so there we have it, Happy Days thumbup

Yo Red. Do you have the roof frame all attached to that ? Just curious coz the only way I've seen it done is folded up behind the roll bar when 'down'. Regarding the side screens : the build manual says to use bonding agent to attach the side screen to the pillar, was just wondering if whoever bolted it had experienced problems with it remaining on for some reason ?

Andy,
I have bonded my side screens with Sikaflex. A bit messey but it did the job. You do have to shape the upright to match the curve of the side screen, if that makes sense.......I can send you a couple of pics if you want.

Nah that's OK thanks Graham, I know what you're saying - I was just curious when I saw the bolts that's all. Know what you mean about the wheels they take longer to clean than the rest of it put together for me, but oh is it worth it smokin What a muppet.

The side screens are bonded and bolted to the front stay.... I did it because I think it looks more consistant with the row of bolts holding it on along the door, it's also stronger but I doubt that would be an issue if they were not there.

The side frames are removed but the rest of the roof frame remains and it simply draped over the bar.... this is purelly to keep hot air from pumping into the passenger compartment. I was going to make up a perspex panel to go into the roll bar, however I sold the car before I got around to it.

High... I thought the original dyno sheet said 526bhp??? although saying that when I drove it when it was 3 years old it had definatelly loosened up a bit and was more responsive than when it was new.
