Hi guys
thanks for the replies.
i went to Halfrauds! today to get a touch up stick.
They didnt have the ford one (they did have the seat one looks close but i am partially colour blind!)
ideanot to worry the helpful young man said we can put in your paint code and make some up!
20 mins later after i have walked round the shop looking at things you should be shot for if you put them on your tvrshoot they produce the paint!! but thats to dark i say, no no its fine he says! it's too dark i say! just try it and see if it dries lighter!! I know i am colour blind but even i can see thats too dark!!rage put it on your car and see how it goes!! he says!!
i don't think so!!furiousragefurious
The only good thing about the visit was i noticed they had a 3 for 2 offer on all their cleaning items!! that includes meguiars products!!
sorry this ended up a a bit of a rant!!

I had the chips away guy round to do some work on mine and asked him about the colour, he said that it wasn't standard Ford Imperial Blue. It used that as a base but it had extra flips and colours in the paint, I believe there was some gold and some red in there.

p.s. Touch up paint always looks darker as no matter how careful you are you will apply it thicker than the original paint. Also you are touching up on old paint instead of a light coloured basecoat...
