Hi,
I'm Denis, new to PistonHeads and I'm a Porsche addict.

I started my Porsche career in 1999 with an Indian red 964 Turbo, then I had another one in 2001 that I prepared to race specs (RSR chassis, carbon, Leichtbau engine, etc.) that I painted in Cadmium yellow. It was very performant with 420 bhp for 1238 kg (with fuel).

At the same time I was driving a 993 Turbo (factory 450 bhp).

I finaly had the chance to be proposed a 96' 993 GT2 Clubsport, which I was not allowed to miss...

This one has a 540 bhp Roock racing engine modification, shortened gears for 4th, 5th and 6th and Le Mans 15" endurance brakes.
This is terrific on roads and I still need to learn how to ghandle it, but each time that's a complete pleasure to drive it.

I aim to gather several 993 GT2 at a track event in June but I will post a mesage for that.

Denis

Hi there and welcome. Your 993 GT2 CS sounds much like agent orange's. Have you got any pics?

Can everyone just stop talking about GT2's... I want/need/can't afford one

What's been done to take it to 550hbp? Look quite nippy on track

It has the full stage of Roock engine tuning : cams, K24, big radiators, calculator, etc.
I bought it already prepared. In fact, I know this car since year 1999 and it was for sale last year, so I took my chance.

I just saw Agent Orange's GT2 CS: it is awsome in this color!

Funny we have more or less the same engine preparation.

That thing's mighty under full beans - just a shame that track didn't allow much acceleration at all!

Does it get frustrating having to run with a light throttle for much of the time, I was watching those clips thinking "God I'd love to plant it if I was driving" but knowing that the next thing I'd be seeing was armco and tyres!

they were a lot better by the afternoon (or maybe i wasn't so crap) but still not up to 888's, so i guess they've sat around for too long. roll on the 8th....

Hi Denis that car looks gorgeous , i have had a twin plug engine in excess of 550bhp started with R Schmirle , and then a bit done elsewhere but thats gone to a guy on herer Sambaman...........Orange cs machine has been to Roock , 2 ,kk24 , some mapping , and small bits done ....380 mm fronts are brilliant! BUT mine only tuned to abt 480 bhp , so much slower in a straight line than urs ...............theres a trackday here June 20th Brands Hatch Gp circuit which is great for our cars ,long starights and corners to carry speed thru sure we cud get a few cars together
