Has anyone been able to claim new alloys under warranty due to the lacquer peeling off? I've had two sets of replacement alloys from Honda due to this problem on our Civic Type-R. The Monaro has just gone 2 years old and the wheels look double that. I know there are issues with colour match from the factory but the lacquer should not peel off this badly

Cheers in advance

I had a problem with my alloys (05 6L VXR) when the passenger rear went a different colour!

Under the "warranty" they were refurbished. 3 times. Each time a completely wrong colour! and they had the car for a month trying to fix it.. Now I am running a pair of dark grey wheels which, to me, look completely wrong. This has been going on since February, I have been promised a new set of alloys, but, suddenly, the dealer won't retun my calls..

Good luck ;-)

I was told that there was zero chance of having mine refurbished under warranty as there was nothing in it covering the wheels...

Mine simply seem to have no lacquer on them at all, and are a very dull matt finish...

Hi Splatspeed

That's not the worst of it. The Sales Manager, of hearing of my problems told me (via the service department) that I "shouldn't of bought a car with refurbished wheels"....

To which I pointed out:
1. THEY refurbished the wheels before I bought the car from them as they were kerbed...
2. After buying a VX220 Turbo from them, and then the Monaro a year later, I would expect just a bit of customer service, hell, even just be nice to me at leat

There is more, but I won't go on!!

Cheers
