What a great day! some cracking racing and decent weather to boot!!

Seeing Mr Hunt in the FFord was cool, he did well for a first race.

That VW series looks great! and tbh showed some of the best racing!

After watching how fast the GT and F3 was I was shocked at....

The GT lap record on Sunday was 1.10 ish

The Superkarts do it in 1.07 ish

The F3's are about 3 seconds faster than the Karts!

Yea. The VWs are a great championship now. You can't really compare GT's with karts, GTs are big heavy things! Although, 1.10 is surprising when last year's Britcar GT spec lap was about 1.08......

It wpuld be great to see a contemporary F1 car do Donington. I know the Euroboss lapped in about 55 sec, so that means a current F1 car on soft tyres and the sort of downforce it is generating must be able to do Donington in nearer 50secs! That would be amazing to see.

Aren't some of the Britcar grid GT2 equivalents though? Wouldn't they be somewhat faster anyway?

Is the Flux Riley Mosler in B-GT the same spec as the Britcar one? There was a couple of seconds a lap difference, so I'm not sure on the spec.

The Rollcentre Mosler this time is GT3 spec. The one they raced in Britcar last year (and the V8 Supercar series) was GT2 spec.

Thanks for clearing that up. I's a shame that V8 supercar series didn't take off, it sounded great!
