I'm in need of one (or maybe a pair) five spoke wheel/rim to suit a 1992 Griff 430.
If you know of anyone that's recently shelled out for a fancy set of bling wheels, please let them know I'm on the lookout.
Cheers,

P.S. What am I looking for? Are they called Axia? Camille Gotti? Estoril? or what?

I think they are the Gotti's, the same as I had on my old Griff as in pic below. Estoril's are the Griff 500 wheels. Not heard of Axia before.....

IIRC the Gottis and Axias look very similar and were both fitted to the precats

Actually they are the Cammille Gotti, Axia rims. They are pretty rare. There is a set that has been on sale for a while now in the classified, Titanium, don't think they have sold. The owner was originally asking £700 or so for them minus tyres, which I think is far too expensive. I believe they were £550 last time I looked.

Yep. Saw them... but I'm not keen on the colour - really want to keep it original.

Don't rush to change your mind Hoover, I thought they were different wheels as well.. Bellhill seem to advertise them seperately.. www.bellhillgarage.co.uk/tvrpartshome.htm (down the page a bit) is it just my eyes or is the spoke radius's different?

LordGrover, just look on your rims they will say what they are.. I think the ones for sale on PH are axia rims, you would need to confirm.. I was enquiring recently about wheel refurbs and the 5 spoke rims are only about £40 each rim!! so are you sure you need new rims or just a refurb?

I think they're beyond refurb, see here.

I'll have a closer look tonight. Thanks for replies thus far, but still looking.

Grover

Oh yeah paperbag I had read the thread but the brains on Power Save for the evening now..

Try Bell Hill for a price for one or two, once you know which ones you need . if not then how the graphite ones with a refurb? and three spares to keep or sell on?? migth work out cheeper.

Just been out to check on my car. Wheels definitely say Camille Gotti Axia on all four of them. Although I have seen another ca rwith wheels that look almost identical but are not Gottis. Not sure who the car belongs to, FilpFlopGriff springs to mind for some reason. I am having mine refurbed soon, Diamond cut with the inserts sprayed anthracite. £60. I'm also very close to sourcing a set of centre caps.

That's good news!

I see you're in NI - I'll find out if the carriers we use can collect from there ... I'll PM you to have a chat about it/them.

Mine are AMIL's too. I always understood that two different suppliers (Camille Gotti and AMIL) produced essentially similar wheels. Nerver heard of Axias - is that a make or model?

On the subject of wheels, does anyone know the going rate for a set of Estorils in good knick with tyres less than 3k miles old (Toyos rear and Dunlops front)? Any ideas would be useful as I'll be selling mine v soon....

cheers

Hi Graham,

For mine, I've been quoted from £90 - £225 each, described as "second hand" to "refurbed like new", without tyres. Dunno what I'm going to do yet. I want to keep it original, but I may have to go for the 16" "upgrade", but I'm not sure.

Cheers,
Grover
