Anyone Used One Of These Puppies? Levo - Artis Car Ramps

Dear all

Trying to sort out some form of lifting for the Trev in the garage and came across these. Has anyone used them? They seem very expensive for a couple of pieces of ali and some scissor jacks. I must confess the old fashioned axles stands and jack are still looking a favorable option.

I thought those levo ones looked really neat...
You can get a level platform (ride heights...) and much work you can do woth the wheels in place.. There are also crossbars with lifts that support the chassis. I've been wanting to make myself something like that for ages - couldn't understand why nobody made one. Will be sorely tempted when last client presses some wad in my hand

I wish I had the time to make one. I am sure that you could make one for a lot less than they cost. Umm I would be tempted to do it. They do seem a very good idea though.

Its the thing about having the crossbars & jacking beam that makes the levo very different from either the lifts or ramp type products - you have the advantages of both IMHO. I guess its like the 2 poster/ 4 poster pros/cons.

Seems from reading the tech spec on these things that the higher you want to go the more you have to pay.

I'll be getting myself one of these some time around the end of the year, ready for the winter work. So if anybody goes mad and splashes out will you update this post. I might come around for coffee and a bun

I thinkits an optional extra reading the add, its also available as an optional extra on the others to.

I didnt see a jacking beam apart from the levo, point jacks yes - but to lift front or back evenly on the main chassis rails is ideal IMO.

that looks a little large for my garage I'm afraid.. (i might start 'watching it' though just to annoy the seller

I think the first one looks a little unstable for my liking I don't think I would like to crawl around under that the two 'ramps arn't attached to each other so could easily topple, its really made for displaying not mechanical repairs!

If I could find any way to justify it then the restorationramps one looks the best to me..

Hi, I've been using the drive on ramps from JT Products for the last two years.They are excellent.So far changed exhaust and replaced sump gasket,so worth a look.Regards,Dave.

Hi Ian,just had a look at that page.I hav'nt tried those options yet but will in the future.Looking at the photos its possible to do anything from basic cleaning to waxoiling to gearbox/engine removal.I can recommend them and construction is superb.Regards,Dave.
