Morning all.

I was sure I'd either read or heard if you use Magnecours you either have different plug extenders or don't use them at all. Can't find anything about this in the search (whats happened to that, its now limited to 2yrs).
I have both fitted at the minute without any problems, its just this nagging thought ...

If you have resistive HT lead you need non resistive caps. and if you have non resistive leads you use resistive caps.

Now to actually answer your question I don't know.. well I can't remember I think you should have non resistive caps with magnecours as I think they have an internal resistance its not big I think 12-18 ohms.

I'm pretty sure you should always use caps though, just the right ones. someone will be along with a better answer than me.. just remember its the thought that counts.

I know what you mean about the search. it looks like they been archiving. confused

I bought the whole set from ACT - I am not sure they would fit without anyway as they would be too short I think.

Ditch the Magnecors, and go for Moroso leads, you can have them whatever length you want and you can pick different plug ends, namely the degree of bend.

Available from Real Steel or V8D .....

Ditch the Magnecors? Jeez, I've had 'em 2yrs and only just got to putting the damned things on.
Useful advice though Johno, thanks mate.

I called Tim at ACT bow
This is the story. TVR used resistive extenders from Vauxhalls because they could get them, not because the car needs them. Theres no discernable difference between them and non-resistive though as far as a TVR is concerned and Magnecors will work with either. The only reason they are there is to push the HT lead away from the exhaust.
This ties with what Johno said about getting leads made up with different angles too.

So, because I bought my new extenders from Tim at the growl last year mine are non-resistive.
But either way, I could use whatever I had.
