Speed six mileage!

Have been looking for a Cerby for some time now, and have recently come across a speed six for sale, that's only just had an engine rebuild at...wait for it.....44,000 miles!

Is that a record?

Have not been tempted before so far on a SP6, but as it's only covered 2k since the rebuild, perhaps it's a decent motor, that's been well looked after...hmmmm

Thats encouraging! Was the rebuild recent? If so it may well have had all the known gremlins dealt with.

I don't think that's a record, mine too has done 44k and has had three engine re-builds.

I've got nearly 50k on my '99 S6(800miles to go, which should be up on my return from Le Mans in June). 1 rebuild about 5 years back, I am always meticulous about warm-up procedures and have a full service done on it every 6k miles. It's not a cosseted garage queen though, it lives outside, driven daily for the work commute, kids school run and shopping.

Now this statement really is tempting providence.........................!
