thought about the multistradas looks like the 1000ds is superb - odd looks - just worried about running costs and dodgy electrics on a wet morning - hence the idea of going jap, but as dave said the versys just seems a bit too 'neat' or something..

The latest (May) edition of Bike mag does a full test of the Versys: 'The best bike Kawasaki make isn't a sportsbike or a big cc muscle bike or even a ballistic tourer. It's a . . . Versys. And it's a revelation'.
Mind you, they voted the current R6 as bike of the year which most other testers criticise for being compromised on the road in spite of its awesome track ability.

MT-03 or the kwaka you mentioned (versys) BOTH look realy good actually
the 600 budget market has come along way since the 600 hornet/bandit first came out hasnt it
theres some very cool looking bikes avail for not alot of ££££'s
