Murci has been in for 3 weeks..................
Discussion
Car has been in Edinburgh Lamborghini for a few weeks tracing a fault and getting some parts done under warranty. Wipers and relay came under warranty but it appears the wires at the rear passenger light cluster had melted togeather inside the wiring loom. Could have been caused by the exhaust heat apparently but it could be just long term use at high temparture. Tempted to do a brake upgrade also but unsure right now.
Car is getting the 30k service this week whilst there, and maybe new tyres all round.
Planning on getting a few other bits done this month, like getting the wheels coloured dark greay with a polished lip.
Want to run a book for final bill? Anyone want a guess at the total?

The only real brake upgrade you can do on the Murcie is switching to the 05 MY, Gallardo type set up. The factory seem to be able to do this for far less than anyone else - about £3K I think.
cheers Simon, also would love to know why your vents come up when moving upto 40mph as mine won't as stated in the book that they only come up manually when staionary and will go down when taking off or if the egine bay temp is over 30degrees......
what ages/year models are everyone elses and what do the vents do when you hit the button upto 40mph?

Up to MY04 the vents do go down after moving away, but for some reason the later cars go down after 40mph (providing they have been raised manually).
If you want the vents up all the time then :
raise them with the button with the Murcie stationary. Get a mate to stand by the rear of the car with the engine lid up. Then switch off the ignition with the vents raised. Finally, as soon as the ignition is switched off, get your mate to immediatly turn off the main battery isolator switch on the left of the engine compartment for a couple of secs. After you switch everything back on, they will remain up at all speeds..
If you get fed up off them up all the time then :
Switch ignition on. Press manual vent button twice but on the third time keep your finger on the button and you will see the vents going down!

The thing I love about that is that it’s like one of those video game cheats – how did anyone work that one out?

I think I'll try that for a bit!!
Love the vents up looks so mean and aggressive!(for my Sunday drive with my cap and glove son)
Getting thw wheels painted dark titanium this week too hopefully, and new bits and bobs like tyres etc, it'll be like getting a new car back.
Simon, can you just replace the outer exhaust tubes at the back for nice shiny new ones if ya have a Lamborghini Sports Exhaust (apparently fitted by Lambo London for Carl)
