Recommendations to improve tired leather seats?

I'm considering a car with seats that need a bit of TLC.
Has anyone got first hand experience of using anything they would recommend to improve tired seats.

I've seen the pics in magazine ads that make a terrible seat look like new.
Do these creams etc work and does it last ?

If the leather isn't torn at all then reconnolising is probably the cheapest option. My last S had its seats reconnolised a while before I got it. During my 2 years of ownership all I did was regularly use a leather cleaner/conditioner and they remained as good as new.

As I understand it reconnolising feeds the leather then re-dyes it - I think you can even change the colour of your seats if you want to using this process.

The seats in my new S could also do with some TLC. I've had a couple of quotes over the phone of £40-£60 per seat for reconnolising, which is a lot cheaper than replacements. I could take the car to A&R Pound in Baldock who I know have been recommended here before or use these guys who come to your home www.trimlinerepairs.co.uk/index.html

Anyone got any experience of Trimline or any other recommendations in the East Midlandsish area?

Why bother with reconnolising, ring Gliptone on 01706819365 get yourself some colour wash (in your colour) some cleaner and some conditioner, all this should cost about £30.00 with p+p . This product is unbeleivable, i nearly had my Rolls seats reconnolised until i read about Gliptone in the R.E.C. magazine. It is very easy to use with full instructions,although the seats wont look factory new, they look great and feel soft but supple, a much better option than the painted looking reconnolised items.

Gliptone leather products are excellent, they made my old S2 seats look great.

This is the best pic I have at work but it shows them pretty well.

Prior to this it was very dirty and worn looking. The gliptone cleaner even worked well on the vinyl door cards:-
