Afternoon all - could any of you good folk point me in the right direction to source a replacement bush - the one that fits at the base of the gear lever on the LT77 gearbox as mine is in several pieces?

Advice gratefully received thumbup

Do you mean the nylon bush which fixes to the remote mechanism and the gear lever slots into? I wrote about that last year, might have put the costs on there. Hang on, I'll have a dig.

Yep, documented here

Got the bits from Prestige Performance Cars, Melton Mowbray. Tel 01664 481065
Here's the kit list
U0366 Pivot Ball £10.67
U0367 Pivot Bush £3.21
U0368 Pivot Circlip £1.62
Carriage £1.50
+ govt thievery.

Save up your patience until the bits arrive, you're gonna need as much as you can get.
Oh, get a couple of circlips - once you've read the above thread you'll know why !

Have fun

Ah now you mention it Ian, I do recall that you did an excellent article on this so many thanks.

The amusing thing is that I had boked the 400SE into the local garage for a gearbox replacement owing to first and second being inaccessible and the other gears a lottery of success only for the garage to find that it is the bush that has perished. They took the bush from the replacemnt gearbox I had sourced and its the replacement box bush I now need.

Imagine the joy of avoiding that huge cost!!

Best wishes
