Employers CD Rom 2007 Using Wrong Tax Year

Not sure if anyone else has had this problem (I did a quick search of old posts)...

I am trying to do a P11 calculation for April 2007 having just installed Employers CD ROM 2007 and its telling me the date is in the wrong tax year (showing 2006-2007!!!).
I uploaded my data file from the Employers CD ROM 2006 without any errors as such, so can't see what the problem is?

Anyone know how I might inform the CD that I am now in the 2007-2008 tax year and thats why I installed the software! I assume this is just me, since I can't find any topics on the web relating to a specific error in the software.

Any clues before I ring HMRC tomorrow?

Unless I misunderstand you, you should have done the calculation in the 2006 CD because that is the year you are calculating. The 2007 CD should be used at the end of 2007/8 i.e. April 2008.

I figured it out in the end.

The "automatic upgrade" function supplied with the 2007 CD doesn't work. You can't manually change the tax year in the employers database so I needed to manually set up everything again in the 2007 CD. Kind of defeats the point of having an upload 2006 database function!!!

Never mind, all sussed now, so if anyone else has the same issue, this I fear may be the only (time consuming) resolution.
