Had a 6k service the other week and since then I've been getting some awesome pops and bangs from the exhaust on overrun cloud9. They're a lot louder, higher pitched and more 'crackly' than previously. What I'm curious about is whether you can determine from the sounds if you're getting flames! Is there some correlation?

It's a 4.5, de-catted with standard pipes... is it wrong to assume flames without a sports exhaust?

You could always go for the flames button modification, that way you're assured to have flames roaring out of yer tailpipes at will.

It's not wrong to assume flames. You almost certainly will get flames at some point, just don't expect everyone to notice them!

When I had mine de-catted, the wife followed me home and didn't see anything, but everyone else has remarked on it!

If you want flames everyone can see, you need a pre-cat Griff like my old car. Used to spit 2 footers out the back. Very amusing in tunnels or at night cloud9

If you want to see flames then someone needs to post the pic of the BossCerb in the tunnel

They look like Tuscan cans ...until parked next to a Tuscan. They are bespoke and about twice the size.

bow to Focused for catching some flame action. Apparently when the pipes are good and hot it pumps out great beeg yellow muthas.... evil

I don't like the sound with it de-catted though so flame action will cease before too long, unless of course I stick a couple of cherry bombs where the cats once lived. scratchchin

You won't lose it - II ZERO flames well and they look great framed in the bigger tailpipe aperture.

OK - so I will assume flames! thumbup But - does anyone know if when you get them, there is a particular sound associated with them so if you're going 'pop.. pop.. BANG... pop... CRRRAAAAAAAACK!' is it then that you look across and nod knowingly hehe or is there no relation at all?

Awesome

Are flames associated with Speed Sixes as well as AJP8's? Fancy stripping the paint of the front of a BMW the next time one of those city boys sits right up my chuffer on the M25 smokin

What you need is a modified 'Blaster' anti-carjacking device from South Africa
