Just got my insurance renewal through the post and it’s £446.00 fully comp.

The car must be garaged and it’s limited to 3000 miles on a Classic Car insurance scheme.

I have full no claims and this is the third year my insurance has gone up so it’s time to ask the oracles (that’s you guys) if you know of any other company’s I can call today?

Many thanks in advance.

Kinda,

The Missis has a Audi that we are both Insured on but I understandably prefer to use the TVR.

If you have use of a normal car for shopping, etc, and you use your Tiv for pleasure and keep it in a garage then it should be cheaper than the quote you got I would have thought. (Don't know your area/age/convictions,etc).

Just got mine insured with Hagerty - Chim 500, 3000 miles , must be garaged overnight, must have the use of a 'normal' car, £250 or something.

I'm 27, have one fault accident in last 2 and a bit years ago,no convictions, no no-claims and a Chim 400. Is garaged over night and I have a company car that I use daily - 5000 miles max per year = £378 fully comp including break down cover! Speak to Darren at Hagerty Insurance - he is a TVR enthusiast and will sort you out...

Haggerty are good BUT max mileage is 5k PA - though this looks good for you.
With A-Plan myself 10k mileage, 4yrs NVB and an SP30 - £480 comp for myself and the g/f.

bloody hell, that is really good. im on a traders policy at the moment, which expires in september. to be honest, im not really looking forward to getting 3 seperate policys, (the chim, the disco, and whatever car the mrs gets). im suspecting it to be expensive.

Speak to Darren then - They are happy to insure multiple cars. My current insurance expires 5/5/07 and I know where I'm going. already had the quote - And they will do over 5K miles- just costs more.

Hagerty quoted £277.20.

I'm very impressed and thank you all for your help.

I will be telling my previous Insurance company that I'm moving to pasture new.
