It seems I've been photographed by a policeman. All's fair, I reckon that we'll all get one or two tickets over time. I do however have one question, I got my NIP in early April this year, for a speeding offence waaaay back in Nov 02. Does anyone know the maximum time that can pass between the offence and the issue of an NIP?

I do drive a company car and from the little digging I have been doing it seems the 'normal' 14 days rule doesn't apply. All I can find is that as a company car driver, I should receive the NIP within a 'reasonable' time....

is there any actual limit.

Thanks,

Jonesy.

Ps. I got the photo and its very odd to see yourself driving head-on like that... must have been zapped from a van.

At a guess i'd say three months. (Could be wrong though)
My Dad drives a company car and he normally worries for about time then just forgets about it.

I'm sure Madcop will correct me if I get any of this wrong .

There is no timelimit AS LONG AS the original NIP was sent to the registered owner (lease company?) within 15 days of the offence (the day of the offence + 14 days). If the initial NIP was served correctly then you are stuffed if the photo is definately of you. (Youcan't even use the "unsigned NIP" approach if they can identify the driver in this way ). So your probably unlucky.
