Never noticed it before, but what's the 'Thingy' stuck at the top of the VXR windscreen on the passenger side? Gives out a green light when the ignition is on. Does the CV8 have one. Had that car for a lot longer than my VXR, but didn't see one on that either....

I saw it on mine last week and wondered the same thing.
I went through the handbook and it made no mention of it so I assumed it was part of the alarm system. Bo55 vxr reckons it is for mood lighting, I hope he is joking

In this day & age where the tree huggers & V8's have as much in common as the English cricket team & winning, it was a weak attempt by Holden Marketing to say it's latest V8 brutes help make owners more "Green Aware".

Ok, so mood lighting it is then

I'm sure John won't mind me highjacking his thread, but what's the thingy sitting on the parcel shelf between the rear speakers, I thought it was another brake light but it doesn't work if it is.

Something to do with the auto aircon maybe or a mini barbeque for the home market? confused

Might be the brake light for the CV8 - They don't have the light in the rear spoiler

Not noticed on my CV8 - will take a 'butchers' when I'm next out at night!

The lump between the speakers is indeed the brake light on a CV8 'cos we don't have a rear spoiler to put it in!!

Steve has a VXR (I think). Redundant thingy on VXR's perhaps? How many thingys does a Monaro have?
