Forza 2 PH Club

Early days obviously but would people from here be interested in setting up a PH club (based on whatever format that there is)

If so does anyone with obvious artistic talent fancy having an early crack at designing a logo / paint scheme for the vehicles to aid online recognition?

Do you think Ted / Haymarket would let us use the crossed piston smiley for instance?

Is there even demand for such a thing?

Im always interested in finding people to race online which arnt kids, i detest ramming in the 1st corner.


I also tried to get to the top of the PRG3 time sheets and failed miserably.

I was hoping something like this would come up so i could have someone sensible to race with that won't just cut you up or force you off the road. As for the designs, without sounding rude or disrespectful in any way; i would say that you can make up any design you want including the piston smiley. Vinyls are a huge part of the game and microsoft have let you invent whatever you want within reason. I would assume they have done their legal homework which is why there is no miniTm ( trademark ) logo. I could write tesco or Pistonheads or anything for that matter on the side of my vehicle ( in game ).
But, out of politeness, yes it would be nice to ask ted properly.
I can see a good years worth of gaming from Forza 2!

I checked the paperwork inside the box and it does say I get a 1 month gold trial. Problem is when I booted the console and created the account it just asked me for credit card details or to enter a redemption code, I don't have either of those :/

I suspect that a debit card will suffice as well as a credit card.

In terms of the Club, I've never been part of anything like this, so not too sure what's expected. I presume we set a few ground rules, set up a few tournaments, league tables etc and away we go...?

It'll be interesting to see whether F2 has a built in "club" section to do most of the hard work for us.

I've asked Ted re the smiley so let's see what happens on that. To be honest it might be a little too much to have a standard look - maybe a bit too serious!

I wonder whether we could set up a hidden sub forum of the computer games forum - I understand for instance that the Tunnel-runners have a hidden section. Do we need such a thing? The computer games one may get a little too busy for this...

Has anyone had any experience of these clubs before?

Sadly not, it wants american express visa or mastercard only. I had an account on my old xbox in the past but it won't let me transfer that either grrrr. Sent MS a support email so we'll see what will come of that.

Its a logistical nightmare to set up anything serious like a league.

best thing to do is just set up times for games each week, and post the results. If people cannot make it then wont effect things like a league.

If anyone wants to try go ahead if you can do it great but i think it will be very time consuming.
