Has anybody had this fault with their heater, I have been getting the heater flap fault code, and the fans do not run at all. I have checked the flap motor and that looks OK, I have found a relay in the passenger foot well (stupid place to put it) wrapped in insulation tape, which looks like the fan control.

I'm trying to find a common point between the flap and fans and can only think it's the ecu? (assuming the fan speed is controlled by the ecu) I have also found a black box cabled tied behind the passenger side dash, anybody know what this is for?

I had same fault code last year & probably same problem - you're right there's an ECU controlling the flaps, and it's not uncommon for it to develop a fault, but don't know where it is as Automedon identified fault with ECU & fixed it.

I've had the same problem with mine. Yes you are right and it is the ECU and I'm pretty sure it in the passenger footwell. I've simply had mine replace and bought the replacement through Besley Hill Garage who breaks TVR's and has got all sorts of spares.
