Anyone know if there's an intenal return spring or if the pedal return is a product of back pressure in the system from the clutch actuator/clutch cover (or a combination of both)?

Have just had the dreaded pedal at half-mast symptom but have no fluid loss so am assuming a machanical problem somewhere rather than a seal failure. Remember something about a grub screw on the actuator.... is this accessible via the inspection hatch or by removing the slave?

Just about have some clutch function (with minimal travel) so am also assuming the arm/pivot are ok (maybe wrongly)....

Scrub that... just fixed summat that wasn't bust rolleyes

Broken spring in M/C it is.

Top tip... don't try and stretch one of the broken halves to re-fit like I just did. They break and tear huge gouges in your finger. How busy do you reckon Casualty will be on a Sun afternoon? paperbag

Not TOO busy is the answer... 3 stitches and some steristrips later

Anyone know the part no for the clutch cyl repair kit that I know is available (think Rally Design carry it?). Would search but not working currently.

I have just had to replace a master cylinder on a CJ7 jeep due to the spring being broken as a rebuild kit only had seals. So before ordering a rebuild kit I would check that a spring is included .
