Same sentiments again from me. Looking at the lap chart data, there must have been something significant happen on the last lap..... Comments Richard?

Thanks guys.
Trevor, I had a "misfire" for pretty much all of the race. It occurred around 6000 rpm, in any gear and it was like hitting a rev limiter, so the only thing I could do was short-shift. It didn't happen in qualifying nor testing on the Friday morning but John @ Plans had warned me that they'd noticed something wasn't quite right when they got in back last week.
As for the last lap (what a blur)... well I thought I'd overtaken someone on a yellow flag so I let him back through on the next corner. It turns out that he'd got fuel delivery problems and hadn't been slowing for anything on purpose, let alone a flag. Then he had the problem again on the last lap same place on the track and I bolted past him again.
My other big mistake during the race was going from 2nd to 6th and loosing a place whilst I found out how to select 3rd gear; I've got to be more methodical with the gear changes!
John will get the laptop connected next week and hopefully we'll ascertain the cause of misfire/rev-limiter issue.
The only othe issue was a cracked manifold near the rear turbo which John noticed was blowing on Friday lunchtime. So John nipped off to the factory to get a replacement whilst Tom stuggled getting the old one off. That was a good call because it wouldn't have lasted very long and the crack was more comprehensive than we'd thought.
One thing that went well was adjusting the rear wing angle to get more downforce and more rear grip so that I managed not to spin on race day. So for those of you who think the wing doesn't do much, well it does if you adjust it's angle.
ps. Trevor, where did you find the times ... I can't see them on mst.
pps. All - it was cracking good fun

V6GTO,
My Exige is honda engined + supercharger putting out about 300HP so straight line performance is similar to a standard M400, but its lighter and properly race prepared so its a little quicker through the corners. There's a couple of secs a lap difference between the two cars depending on the circuit. The other issue for a big power turbo car is sustaining that pace for a full 20 mins racing without suffering heat soak. To answer your question, with a properly intercooled, well sorted M400 I would certainly have fancied my chances of winning the race, yes.
Richard - that 'TURN 1' is fearsome!
Side by side with that Cosworth at 130 mph on that banking makes you appreciate what those Nascar drivers go through!
