I think I prefer the old shape one as it goes...but anyway...

I had the old tpe 6pot XJR for a week (mate on holiday) and the newer V8 for a weekend on a trial before buying it. Both fantastic cars and I would love one as a daily driver. However, as much as they look great, have an interior to die for, are smooth, quiet and refined, they are no comparison to the Holden. For me, I always want to get into the Holden - its cheap beer but its 40 degree proof and it 'gets you there'. As much as I loved wafting around in a parker knoll recliner, 'it aint got the charactor' and I always felt the need to find the archers on the radio when I drove Jagwars
