I love Minnesota, but the winters are not suitable for driving (although I have had the Ultima out on the snow a few times!!)

This winter I did a bunch of things on the car - new tires, complete clean up, re-greased the suspension, re-alignment, rear-lid indicator switches if the rear was not closed correctly.

I did take the car out yesterday for some serious driving. I'm still learning how effective the brakes and traction are on the Ultima. A good trial seems to be to wait for a slight gap in the freeway traffic, take the car up to about 150 mph in an open stretch of road, and then when you see a car about 50 metres ahead (and not in your lane), jump on the brakes and slow down to not pass the slower car. I never did this , but I can tell you that if I did, you would be amazed at how well the brakes / traction work.

I'm ready for a sping driving tour!

If you were to try one of these tests, and let's say start your test rolling at 70 mph, how much distance do you suppose you would cover in order to reach 150?
