Had the roof off on Saturday, on the motorway with the wind whistling through the car when the rubber seal (which sits above the windscreen, where the roof fits into) started lifting up and after a few seconds came loose (from the corner on my right hand side to about half way along the windscreen). Managed to push it back into place without stopping, and had to keep the speed down to keep it in place. What's best to secure this back in place .. some kind of silicone sealant, superglue, epoxy resin ? It looks like it was originally held in place with a bead of black silicone sealant, but just wondering what was best to secure it now ?

I've recently replaced the seals on mine and had difficulty in removing the section above the windscreen. It had been fixed into position using what looked like "no more nails". I don't know wether this was done by a dealer or previous owner. It certainly worked, but I think I would probably try black silicone sealant first.

yep, tiger seal or sikaflex would do the trick.

I take it that's just a black silicone sealant ? Or is it some kind of glue/sealant mix ? I've got some black silicone that I used in my bathroom, might try that to see if it holds it in place.

No, totally different - No silicone. Dries like a rubber and is used to bond panels together.

Edited to add: If you look carefully around your car, you may already see this stuff in between panels, normally around the windscreen/wing area.

Sounds like good stuff. Will order some and that should do the trick.

Cheers.
