Couple of Scamera questions
Discussion
Running a Snooper S5-R,
didnt bleep coming up to a scamera van, nor a lot of Gatso's
but gives me plenty of warning of traffic lights and Tesco's
have it on LOGIC1 setting,
should I see LASER come up from a scamera ?
How about placing og the unit?, I have it in the middle of the windscreen, low down, but just above the windscreen wipers
oh, and if you do get caught, is it 14 "working days" before you know ?
cheers

Can't speak specifically for the Snooper but if the alarm goes off and its due to a scammer laser then its likely that you have already been pinged..
For an alleged speeding offence, they have 14 calendar days from the date of the alleged offence to serve the DVLA recorded Registered Keeper with a notice of intended prosecution.

Agreed.
Ready to be shot down by someone with a 'pefect' detector, but I did buy one and take it back to Halfords the next day because it was a complete waste of time for the reasons the OP has stated.
There are plenty of satnav/roadangel type units which will warn about fixed sites, and with the mobile sites if it does pick up a reading it is often the case that you have in fact been targeted anyway.
IMHO a false sense of security is worse than no sense of security and relying on old fashioned methods!
