Anyone got or use one?

Thinking of getting one as finding my 350d a touch too small in my hands in terms of the height of the camera and with Le Mans coming up could also do with the extra battery capacity.

Price seems to of dropped lots for them too ~£70 now rather than ~£130.

It should improve the balance a lot especially when using a big lens.

I bought one at a show in February for £69 from AJ Purdy. I have put in a cople of third party batteries purchased from eBay. I think its great, makes the camera look much more purposeful! and much easier to handle, the repeated functions for when using the camera in portrait mode are great too.

I've not got any 'big' lenses, but even with 50mm f1.8 it makes the camera easier to handle.

At £70 or therabouts its great VFM, but at £130 I would think twice and probably put the money to another lens.

Get the grip and the E1 handstrap. So much better to handle than without.

Both of my cameras now have grips and handstraps.

Got it free with my camera. Haven't used it more than twice in two years. I carry a camera bag that has spare batteries in it and that follows me around when I'm out and about. It's handy having the camera small for walkabout shots.

It does make the 350D much bigger, more 'solid' feeling, but also heavy and anything but unobtrusive.
