Does this exist?

I thought that there was a special paint additive that is used on car bumpers, making the paint flexible. Possibly made by Glasurit (SP)?

Surely this is the way to go when having a respray, as the paint would move (flex) with the fibreglass when a stone hits it?

If this were feasible, then all the minor chips would be eliminated.

Anyone investigated this possibility, or is it not possible/too expensive?

I know there's a flexible primer for bumpers but I haven't heard of there being flexible paint.

But I could be wrong .....

Yes it does exist, although I have no idea what it's called.

The flexible primer wont give you the smooth finish you need prior to applying the top coat, and you need that smooth finish to achieve that glass like gloss finish you would want on your car.
The Tiv's cheap easier than other cars simply because they are fibreglass, which, unlike steel, has zero 'give', so the paint just chips.

Would it not just be cheaper and easier to put £800 away for a front end respray every few years?

Who cares anyway? Just drive the thing!!!

That sounds like something I'd say.
