Try this website - a firm who did a lot of last years wraps;
www.vanwraps.co.uk/gallery.php?indcatid=OA==
Van Wraps did most of this years too
My now ex boss used them for last year's Gumball on his Gallardo. He removed the wrap himself. Took a while but not too hard apparently.
Saved him money as the wrap costs less than a front end respray and the wrap protects the bodywork from stone chips.

The company I work for did a couple of cars for last years gumball. Wraps can last like has been said 1-10 years and normally come with a garentee for say 5. You can completely wrap a car and leave it, when the Nissan Pink Micra first came out they where all wrapped by us. However you will never get the same finish by using viynl instead of actual paint. Most noticable is its lack of reflectiveness.
Hi there,
It is amazing what the signwriters can do with a wrap.
This is Max's (Gumball organiser) XJ220 from this year.
and this is the exact same car last year at Silverstone.
I actually saw this car last week in the workshop at Don Law I wondered what they preparing it for although at that time it was still silver.
Regards
Tim

the metalic gallardo was a wrap right?, I think the wraps are better this year than the last couple, last years had a textured surface, this years are smooth.

I havent seen the gallardo so cant really comment. However the vinyl shouldnt have a textured surface it should be smooth, textured surface normal indicates dirt under the vinyl therefore the car wasnt cleaned properly before.

The Danger with any kind of wrapping (depending as always who does it) is the risk of cuts in the paintwork if you pick the WRONG supplier. We do NOT do vinyl wrapping incidentally
Check to see if they have precut wrap components before application and to be safe ask to see them weeded BEFORE they start application.
Cheers
Tom

Agree with what you are saying Tom. However depending on what is being wraped it is not always possible to have them weeded before, sometimes it is a case of laying a oversized sheet of vinyl over the vechicle and going from there. There should be no cuts in the paintwork if done properly, cuts are down to using blunt cutting blades, too much pressure on the vinyl when cutting and being careless.

I had my car striped last year by vanwraps for GB3K - stripes came off easily, Gumball sponsor logos did not. All in took 3 people 4 hours to restore the car to normal, which happened just in time for the car to be sold on...

Shouldnt be the case, if the viynl is fitted correctly and as long as the right equipment and conditions are used it should come off easily.
