I wondered if the 3-foot distance between the GPS antennae & the cradle was sacrosanct because the unit was never acquiring a satellite link, but I think there is a dodgy connection on the cradle.

Anyway, it's working most of the time new

An elastic band around it and the cradle stops it jumping out as it only relies on gravity to sit there.

Worst part of the whole Origin design IMHO - how hard would it have been to make it click into place like a hands free car kit holder.

Mine has two small magnets in the cradle. It doesn't jump out.
